个人简介(About the speaker):

Professor Chung is a renowned professor of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Founding President of the Hong Kong Constructional Metal Structures Association, Director of the Chinese National Engineering Research Centre for Steel Construction (Hong Kong Branch) and Vice President of the Institution of Structural Engineers, U.K.. Professor Chung’s research interests are limit state analysis and performance-based design of structural systems, structural fire engineering and fire protection in buildings and tunnels, and design codification. He has published about 200 conference and journal papers as well as 9 design guides on modern steel construction technology.
