内容摘要Abstract:

The future electricity grid will be dominated by variable renewable energy generators, battery storage systems, and electric vehicles. Grid integration of sustainable and new energy technologies imposes challenges in the planning and operation of the electricity grids. In this context, this research seminar will present the key highlights of the clean energy transition in Australia, followed by 10 funded research projects and 5 PhD research supervision at RMIT University in smart grids, electric vehicles, and demand management. Further, the presentation will include a deep dive into the grid integration of electric vehicles and a probabilistic stability assessment of the future grids.

 

个人简介(About the speaker):

Dr Kazi Nazmul Hasan is a Senior Lecturer in Electrical Engineering at RMIT University, Australia. He served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at The University of Manchester, United Kingdom from 2014 to 2018 after receiving a PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Queensland, Australia in 2014. He has a strong record of establishing and maintaining industry engagement, leading to 15 research grants over the last 6 years. New energy technologies integration into the electricity grids is the main focus of his research, particularly emphasizing probabilistic modelling, stability analysis, demand response, and grid integration of electric vehicles. Dr Hasan secured 3.5 million dollars in research income over the last 6 years. Dr Hasan has supervised 5 PhD students to completion (10 under current supervision) and mentored more than 4 postdoctoral fellows. He has published his research in 40 top-class journals and 60 conference papers presented at international conferences and seminars in 12 countries with an h-index of 23 and over 1886 citations.
