内容摘要Abstract： 

Hydrogel materials and biological tissues share a high degree of structural and compositional similarity, and are considered to be one of the most ideal materials for the interface between human tissues and bioelectronic interactions. Conventional synthetic hydrogels have low strength and are prone to brittle fracture; in humid physiological environments, it is difficult for hydrogel materials to form effective adhesive interfaces with biological tissues due to the presence of interfacial free water, which largely limits their applications. To address the above challenges, we have constructed a series of functionally specific hydrogel materials and bioelectronic interfaces through multi-scale structural design to meet the application requirements in different scenarios, providing potential solution strategies to the challenges in the fields of bioelectronics and tissue engineering.

个人简介(About the speaker):

刘吉博士，在欧盟Erasmus Mundus联合博士奖学金的资助下，于2013年底在法国波尔多大学和比利时列日大学获得博士学位；2014—2019年先后在玛丽居里基金会和美国国防高级研究计划局等项目资助下在剑桥大学、麻省理工学院和哈佛医学院从事研究工作；2019年9月担任南方科技大学博士生导师和课题组长。刘吉博士的研究兴趣包括功能软材料设计与制造、生物电子粘合、软材料力学、可植入生物电子等。先后在Sci. Adv., Nat. Commun., Acc. Chem. Res., PNAS, Adv. Mater., JACS, Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Adv. Funct. Mater.等期刊上发表文章60余篇；先后获评英国材料、矿业与矿物学会会士(2021)、国家特聘专家青年(2020)、《麻省理工科技评论》中国区“35岁以下科技创新35人”(2020)、深圳市海外高层次人才(2020)、日本高分子协会青年学者奖(2017)、玛丽居里学者(2015)等荣誉。
