英文学术写作是高校本科生、研究生及以上科研工作者进行国际学术交流必备的学术技能之一,了解英文学术写作的规范、特别是中国人在英文学术表达方面的误区，将有助于学习者高效地在国际舞台上展示学术成果。本课程将梳理各部分的写作要点和技巧，通过写作训练帮助学习者发展独立思考能力、逻辑分析能力和语言应用能力。为学习者讲授如何提高英文学术写作能力，并在文章内容、修改和编辑等方面给予相应的指导，帮助学习者更有效、规范的撰写学术文章，更清晰地表达自己的学术观点。

主讲人：Dr. Zhongchao Tan (谭中超）

Dr. Zhongchao Tan (谭中超) is a professor and the Associate Dean, International, Faculty of Engineering, University of Waterloo. He is also the Executive Director of the Tsinghua University - University of Waterloo Joint Research Centre for Micro/Nano Energy & Environmental Technologies.

 He received his BSc and MSc degrees in Thermal Engineering from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China in the 1990s, and PhD degree from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, USA, in 2004. Dr. Tan then started his career as a faculty member at the University of Calgary, Canada from 2004-2010 and moved to the University of Waterloo in September 2010.

 His teaching and research are focused on clean air technologies. He has published three books and 100+ articles in English.
