内容摘要Abstract： 

   Our recent collaboration with the industry develops multidisciplinary digital twin technology for safety-critical systems in the energy transition, focused on enhancing safety in challenging environments like offshore wind farms and hydrogen energy systems, utilising LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) technology for precise data capture and risk management. The presentation addresses various challenges associated with digital twinning, including integrating real-time data and advanced simulations. It highlights the diverse applications of this technology across different energy systems, showcasing its potential in optimising operations and ensuring safety. Furthermore, the critical role of predictive analytics in safety-critical industries is explored, demonstrating how digital twins can anticipate risks and facilitate proactive safety management. This approach promises to revolutionise risk management strategies, offering a more resilient and responsive framework for safety in the evolving landscape of energy transition. The presentation connects this technology with solid mechanics through material behaviour analysis, structural integrity evaluation, simulation and modelling, and predictive maintenance.

个人简介(About the speaker):

英国阿伯丁大学谭鸿来博士的研究集中在将数字孪生技术应用于能源转型中的安全关键系统，以及跨尺度模拟中的人工智能集成。谭是国际能源研讨会主席，曾是英国国际量子技术研讨会主席，欧盟可靠性峰会特邀主席，维护与运营全球论坛特邀主席。谭是清华大学工程力学工学学士，及现代应用物理理学学士。清华大学博士，师从杨卫院士，是首届全国优秀博士论文获得者。曾在美国布朗大学做博士后研究。作为研究科学家，先后在伊利诺伊大学和犹他大学参与为期十年的美国能源部“高速计算战略计划”，研究成果分别被美国国家航空航天局（NASA）和洛斯阿拉莫斯国家实验室应用于航天飞机和高能材料的事故诊断分析。后因此项成果，他被英国剑桥大学物理系卡文迪什实验室（Cavendish Laboratory）和数学科学中心（Centre for Mathematical Sciences）特邀作学术报告。谭博士曾任美国路易斯安那州立大学机械工程系助理教授，英国曼彻斯特大学机械、航空与土木工程学院讲师，浙江大学航空航天学院和武汉大学工业科学研究院的客座教授。谭教授指导的博士生后来成为英国皇家工程院院士、英国工程与技术学会会士、英国核学会会士、跨国石油公司（BP）副总裁、风险与紧急情况管理跨国咨询公司（Witt O'Brien's）技术总监等。
