Topological one-way waveguide states and anti-chiral boundary states

内容摘要Abstract: 

In this talk, I will firstly discuss electromagnetic manipulation by topological one-way waveguide states (TOLWSs). Due to the topological protection of TOLWSs, backscattering is forbidden against the local perturbation during their propagation. When one of them is excited, the particle located in the middle B area results in scattering between two copropagating TOLWSs. This mode-conversion effect leads to flexible EM manipulation. Secondly, I will present that the anti-chiral edge states in the two-dimensional system can also be achieved based on the original Haldane model by combining two subsystems with the opposite chirality. Most importantly, by stacking these two-dimensional systems into three-dimension, it is found that the copropagating anti-chiral hinge states localized on the two opposite diagonal hinge cases of the system can be implemented. Interestingly, the location of anti-chiral hinge states can be tuned via hopping parameters along the third dimension.

张磊,2012年于香港大学物理系获得博士学位,2013-2016年加拿大麦吉尔大学博士后,现为山西大学量子光学与光量子器件国家重点实验室教授,博士生导师。主要研究领域为介观和纳米系统中的量子输运,目前已在Nature, Phys. Rev. Lett., Phys. Rev. B, JACS, Nano Lett.等国际知名杂志上共发表SCI论文60余篇, 论文被引用1300余次,H-Index 21。2018年获得“三晋英才”支持计划青年优秀人才称号、山西省委联系服务高级专家。
