内容摘要 Abstract:
The study of multi-robot swarming systems was initially motivated by the amazing collective behaviors of animal groups in nature such as flocking of birds and schooling of fish. It is notable that many animal groups use vision as a primary sensing approach to achieve collective behaviors. Study on vision-based swarming is essential to achieve large-scale, truly distributed, and truly intelligent swarming systems. Although multi-robot systems have been studied in different aspects by different communities such as robotics and controls for 20 years, vision-based multi-robot swarming remains an area that has not been well explored in either theory or application. In this talk, I will review some key challenges in this area and present some of my research results on bearing-only formation control, visual detection of micro aerial vehicles, and so on. Hopefully this talk could provide a relatively complete picture of this area and some inspiring ideas to interested researchers.
